1. Information we collect
We store account identity, access roles and service metadata. Family records, including optional phone numbers and addresses, remain in the family spreadsheet. Information about living people is private by default.
2. How information is used
Information is used to provide the family archive, enforce access, synchronize authorized spreadsheets and keep the service secure.
3. Google authorization
Living Archive requests limited Google account identity and drive.file access. Refresh credentials are encrypted and never stored in spreadsheets or sent to browsers.
4. Sharing and connected trees
A tree connection requires approval from both tree owners. A connection does not automatically give access to either tree.
5. Retention and choices
Owners can export their records and revoke Google access. Archiving preserves data; permanent deletion processes require explicit confirmation and production legal review.
